Rachel is a DMV native who first earned her college degree in North Carolina before following her passion for hair in 2016. She launched her career in a busy salon, growing from apprentice to stylist, manager, and educator. After five years running her own salon studio, she’s now excited to bring her experience and creative energy to The LABoratory.
Rachel believes great hair should be both expressive and effortless. She loves collaborating with clients to design looks that feel authentic to their personality and lifestyle—whether that’s bold vivids, dimensional natural color, an edgy alternative cut, or a timeless classic.

***A 48 hour notice is required to change or cancel an appointment. Failure to do so will result in a charge equal to half the amount of the starting price of scheduled appointment.
***All services are a la carte, meaning chemical and conditioning services do not include blowout/styled finishes.
***Please disclose if length, density or texture may require extra time to complete service.
*** Please do not bring companions or children to a service if they're not receiving a service. Any additional guest that arrive without an appointment will be asked to wait outside of studio, or your service will be rescheduled for a later date and be subject to our late cancel charge. Root Retouch

Coloring from scalp to one inch or less out covering only new growth
(typically for grey coverage clients)
Full Color
$125+
One shade of color applied from scalp to ends of hair
(this option is not for people wanting to go more than 2 shades lighter than current natural colored hair)
Partial Highlight/Lowlight
$170+
Traditional partial foil highlight or lowlight placement. Outlining the whole hairline and the "mohawk" section
(traditional highlight techniques result in a 50/50 highlight to background color)
Full Highlight/Lowlight

A traditional full head of foiled highlights or lowlights
(traditional highlights are 50/50 highlight to background color)
